THIS TOO SHALL PASS!

This too shall pass!…
Words that can have so little meaning when you are confronted by some of life’s greatest storms. Although it may be true, when you are in the midst of a dilemma, many times you resort to survival mode with little thought of the end of the matter, as you try to focus everything within you on making it through this storm.

14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

In Proverbs 18:14, the word of God reveals that the spirit of a man will sustain him in his infirmity but a wounded soul who can bear?

This simply means that the strength of your soul or your “inner strength” will determine your outcome of the trial you are facing. The truth of the matter is that nothing comes to last and truly one day out of the seven, what you are facing will pass. I encourage you today, if you are faced with a difficulty or hardship, take some time to seek God for wisdom, knowledge and direction for during and after the storm. He may be trying to get your attention; shift your direction or change your entire destiny.

In Proverbs 3:6, He says that if we were to acknowledge Him that He would direct our paths. Whatever the reason for the storm we know that all things are working together for good. (Romans 8:28)

PRAYER: I cover you under the blood of Jesus Christ and pray that you will have the courage and strength to overcome every difficulty, hardship or trial that comes your way, knowing that it did not come to last…but that this too shall pass!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I decree and declare that you will receive the strength of the Almighty God to endure to the end of your tests, trials and adversities, in Jesus name!

FROM BITTER TO BETTER… IT’S ALL WORKING TOGETHER FOR GOOD!!

In recent weeks, months and years, many people have been placed in desperate situations not knowing where to go or to whom to turn.  At times, overwhelmed by negative experiences, many people seek out any means by which they are able to endure life’s unexpected hardships.

In survival mode, you begin to realize that there are some attitudes which are not productive; some beliefs which are not relevant and some practices which are not important. Issues and viewpoints you once argued become irrelevant.

As your sister or relative lies fighting for their life after a serious car accident, suddenly the reason why you were arguing seems insignificant.  As you face bankruptcy or eviction, you no longer hesitate to ask for help.   As you are afflicted in your body, it does not matter that the surgeon does not look or sound like you. These and other idiosyncrasies become null and void when you are in survival mode.

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial
which is to try you, as though some strange thing
happened unto you: (1 Peter 4:12)

Tragedy is a catalyst for change.  In 1 Peter 4:12, the Word of God admonishes us that we should not be surprised when facing extremely difficult trials which have been designed to “try” or “test” you.  How you respond to your test will either highlight your strengths or expose your weaknesses.  These seasons in your life will either prove you and reveal  your strength of character or show you what your shortcomings are.  In  Romans 8:28, we are encouraged that all things are working together in our lives for good.  Therefore, whether weak or str God uses trials and trying times to bring out the best in you.

PRAYER:  I pray for you that you will have the strength to trust God in the midst of your adversity.  I pray that the Spirit of God will overshadow you and that the power from the Almighty God will give you the courage to endure every hardship, disappointment, heartbreak or discouragement, in the name of Jesus.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION:  I decree and declare that all things will work together for your good.  I decree and declare that God will turn all things in your favor and will make every bitter experience, sweet!

CAN A NATION BE RE-BORN AT ONCE?

Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things?
Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day?
or shall a nation be born at once? (Isaiah 66:8)

Almost every person in the entire world has been affected by the COVID-19 virus pandemic as individuals, families, communities and nations confront life or death situations on a daily basis. We must admit that the rapid spread of the deadly Coronavirus which broke during the first quarter of 2020, has caused the entire world to stop and cease from the busyness of everyday life.

In the midst of this global dilemma, it would seem as though God has allowed an interruption in man’s schedule; shifting his attention from the daily cares of life to now seeking to understand what is important in life. From the empty streets of Italy, the abandoned garment districts of New York or the deserted train stations of London; nations are experiencing a shaking that many have never seen before.

During this time, the focus is no longer how to “keep up with the jones” or what is the latest Hollywood style or which team made it to the NBA. No! In the light of an almost apocalyptic existence many seek answers to the present grave dilemmas of the day and an understanding of the the uncertain future which they now face. As entire nations have fallen to their knees in prayer and repentance before God, I believe that it is time for the nations to return to God. News reports indicate that people have lined the streets of their cities and are praying can crying out to God. I believe this global pandemic will spark a much needed revival of prayer for many nations. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time. (Psalm 60:22)
PRAYER: I pray that you will get to know Jesus as your Lord, personal Savior , Healer and Deliverer. If you are a believer, I pray that you will seek after a greater knowledge of God and that the Spirit of God will continue to draw you into His presence so that you can be guarded and protected by His mighty power.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I decree and declare that you will continue to trust in God for every area of your life and that Jesus is and always will be the answer for every situation that you will ever experience. Amen!

END TIMES:  Why Is Repentance Necessary?

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now
commandeth all men every where to repent.
(Acts 17:30)

God is calling us back to a time of prayer and repentance.  Repent is derived from the words re – which means again and pent – which means the highest place; like the pent-house or Pent-agon.  Therefore, repent means to go back again to the highest place; on the human body, the highest place  is the human mind.   Repent in the truest essence of the word means to change your mindset.  Throughout the word of God, God has sent His servants, John, the Baptist and even Jesus with the message that it was time to repent.

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say,
Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 4:17)

When God is asking you to repent, He is asking you to change your mindset concerning Him or the things of God.  In Matthew 4:17, John the Baptist and Jesus preached the message of repentance because God was getting ready to introduce to mankind, the supernatural dynamics of His heavenly kingdom.

Many times, when God asks you to turn from your way of doing things, He wants you to look to His way of doing things.  Noah preached for 120 years to the people of His day and warned them that the floods were coming and it was time to repent. (Genesis 6; Matthew 24:37-39; Hebrews 11:7); Jonah preached to the Ninevites and commanded them to repent and turn to the One True God. (Jonah 3)  Elijah called down fire from Heaven and defeated over eight hundred and fifty false prophets admonishing the people of his day to turn away from serving idols and false gods and turn to serve the Living God. (1 Kings 18)

13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts
to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:13, 14)

In every instance, once the men of God delivered the message of repentance, the choice was given to the people to decide if they were going to continue doing as they were doing or if they were going to truly repent, throw down their idols and turn to serve God.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God is saying to His people that if they are wiling to repent that He will cleanse the land and the hearts of the people.   I believe that God was giving them a prophetic symbolism that their willingness to repent and turn back to Him would not only heal the land, but the it would also serve to cleanse their own hearts and minds from their idolatry and bring them back into right standing with God.

Beloved, I encourage you to make the decision to draw nearer and nearer to God.  Repent from dead works; dead things; idle conversations and the like.  It is time to seek the Lord, for real.  Draw nearer  to Him and He will draw nearer to you, for there is a place in His presence just for you. (James 4:8)

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be
blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall
come from the presence of the Lord. (Acts 3:19)

PRAYER:   Father in the mighty name of Jesus I pray that your people will begin to read the signs, turn from their wicked ways and begin to seek your face. I pray that the person reading this will begin to let go of anything that is not of You, fall on their face and seek You like never before.  I pray that  they will be loosed from every chain of bondage, in Your mighty and holy name I pray, Amen!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION:  I decree and declare that this will be the year that you seek God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength and that nothing shall hinder you from spending time in His presence or developing a more intimate relationship with Christ Jesus.

GOD FIRST

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind. (Matthew 22:37)

Whenever we hear the word “righteous” this generally means to be in right standing with God.  In order to be in right standing with anyone that you are in relationship with, you must have an idea of what that person wants or what they like.  Once you know them, if that relationship is valuable to you, then you  will be prepared to do things that you know they like because you value them or, better, because you love them.  The level at which you value any relationship, is the level to which you are prepared to go in order to order to ensure that that relationship is preserved.   Just as it is with our natural relationships, so is it with our relationship with God.

As your Sovereign Ruler and Creator, God wants to be first in your life. He does not want to be an after-thought or second to anything or anyone.  No, He wants to be first; the One that you turn to first for every situation in your life, in so doing, this shows God that He is your greatest priority; that you truly trust Him, need Him and are relying on Him to help you navigate every area of your life.

God wants us to be in a relationship with Him where we understand that He is our God and there is no-one else in our lives that we place before Him.  In Genesis 17:7, it is recorded that God established an everlasting covenant with Abraham, that God would be his God and that he and his generation to come would serve only Him.

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee [Abraham] and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

Whenever we put anything before God, whether it is a relationship, our jobs, our desire for material gain, our time spent on the phone or social media; that thing becomes our “god” and is erected as an idol in our lives.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God,
(Exodus 20:3 – 5a)

From the very beginning of time, God wanted a covenant relationship of love and blessing towards His people; where He  is first.  He wanted a people who were dedicated, committed and loyal to Him. Throughout the centuries, however, only a few have come to understand the magnitude of such an honor where the Sovereign Ruler of the entire universe; the God who created the heavens and the starts; the God who created the birds of the air and the fish of the seas; the who Created every living thing, including you and me; the God who is Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end…of all things…wants to be in a relationship with you.

In Isaiah 1:18, it is this God who says, “Come, let’s reason together…”, The Psalmist David, at some point gets the revelation that we are truly not worthy of this God.  In Psalm 8, he laments, “…what is man that Thou art mindful of him; the son of man that Thou visits him…”

Wow!!  The God of the entire universe wants to visit us; He wants an everlasting relationship….with us!  He is concerned about everything that concerns us. He knows everything about us and regardless of what state we are in, be we saint or sinner, God loves us just as we are and desires an intimate love covenant relationship with us.  In order to cultivate this type of relationship with this Holy God, we must come to Him upon the altars of prayer.  Spending time in prayer, reading His Word, praising and worshipping Him all help to create an atmosphere that attracts the presence of God to your life.

In the midst of everything that is happening in the world, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 Virus, the Spirit of God is seeking to draw you closer into His presence.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence
is fulness of joy; at thy right hand
there are pleasures for evermore.
(Psalm 16:11)

When spending time with God becomes a priority in your life, you will begin to develop a fragrance of His presence.  That fragrance will follow you everywhere you go and  you will begin to attract the divine favor of God to your life.   Once you truly get a revelation as to who God is and that He is of paramount importance in your life, you will begin to understand that the value of your relationship with Him far surpasses anything else in this world and you will begin to go after Him…more than you go after anything else in this world.

PRAYER:  Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that this powerful message of love will draw every reader closer to you. Dear reader, I pray that you would turn from unnecessary distractions and the overwhelming cares of this life and begin to turn your whole heart and mind towards God and the things of God and allow Him to show you the true “path of life.”

PROPHETIC DECLARATION:   I decree and declare that you will have the courage and strength to turn away from everything that distracts you from pursuing the presence of God and that you will begin to seek after Him with your whole heart, mind, body and soul, in Jesus Name!

REBUILDING THE ALTARS OF PRAYER

Prayer does not just change things, but prayer has been proven to change things on every level. Although this may be true, many times people tend to use prayer as a last resort when they are faced with a crisis or stubborn dilemma; turning to the things of the world rather than turning to God.

In Jeremiah 2:13, the spirit of God laments, For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

This may be sad, but so true; not only have many people turned away from God but tend to have a greater confidence in worldly systems, people and other carnal pursuits which are not able to bring them the solution or resolve that they seek. They may experience a temporary satisfaction and left feeling frustrated or confused.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence
is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures
for evermore.
(Psalm 16:11)

In Psalm 16:11, I believe the Psalmist came to the realization that the answer to living an abundant life is in pursing the presence of Almighty God. He further states that the presence of God creates a peace and satisfaction that is not short-lived but endures forever.

I believe that the answer to all that the world is facing, especially with the recent Coronavirus pandemic, is to turn back to God. In the lives of many, the altars of prayer need to be rebuilt. An altar is a consecrated or dedicated place of sacrifice. Prayer is your communication or communion with God.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16)

In order to rebuild the altars of prayer or to pray effectively, you must first come to the realization that you were seeking after the wrong things and that the presence of God in your life is your ultimate priority. Once you embrace this revelation, you can now seek to rebuild the altars of prayer by observing the following:

  1. Repent; you must first have a mind change and make a firm decision that you will do whatever it takes to turn back to God
  2. Refocus your life and forget anyone or anything that seeks to distract you from moving forward in your pursuit of developing a consecrated prayer life
  3. Release and let go of past issues and disappointments that may keep you from the presence of God
  4. Realign yourself with the will of God by making prayer, fasting and reading the Word of God a priority in your life
  5. Re-establish set times of prayer and remain faithful to them
  6. Remove yourself from people, places or practices which may challenge your commitment to your prayer life or walk with God
  7. Restore your relationship with the One True God and make Him and His will for your life your ultimate priority

PRAYER: (Pray this prayer of repentance and rededication to the things of God if you have not made Him your ultimate priority in your life.)

Father, I repent for all the wrong that I have done. I ask that you forgive me for not making you a priority in my life and at times seeking after other things before I seek after you in prayer. I ask that you would restore me back to you and give me the courage, strength and wisdom to go after you with all of my heart and mind, in Jesus name!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I decree and declare that this is your season of turnaround and that you will seek after the presence of God like never before and make Him a priority in everything that you do in Jesus name!

PRAYER: POWER TO OVERCOME EVERY TRAGEDY

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me,
and I will hearken unto you.  (Jeremiah 29:12)

Everyone must agree that there are times when life “just happens”.  The good and the bad experiences in life are not always predictable.  The good you readily embrace but how do you rebound after extremely devastating, or unexpected adversities. Tragedies are not relegated to the poor, to a certain socioeconomic class or to a particular ethnicity, race or nationality of people.

When you are suddenly confronted with harsh realities or the severity of life’s disappointments, these unexpected dilemmas can challenge you to such a degree that it propels you into a whirlwind of confusion and despair.  These life-altering experiences can be so adverse that they cause great suffering, distress or hopelessness.  During these times, many tend to grasp at anything that will bring some form of comfort or resolve.  Many tend to seek out the things of this world or carnal pursuits, such as smoking, drinking, promiscuity, and the like, in an effort to  deal with their pain or grief.

In John 16:33,  Jesus lets us know that as long as we are alive, there will be challenges and adverse circumstances with which we will be faced; but He also encourages is that if we continually put our trust and hope in Him that He will give us a peace which passes all understanding.  (Philippians 4:7)

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.  (John 16:33)

Unfortunately, the one thing that God has given to all of us that tends to be overlooked is the power that can be found in prayer.   Many begin to turn towards God and the things of God as a last resort, not fully realizing that  prayer, constant communication with God, is the answer to any dilemma they are facing.  In 1 Peter 5:7, we are encourage to come to God with every care or concern with which we are troubled.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
(1 Peter 5:7)

As the entire world is confronted with the tragedies of the Coronavirus Outbreak; governments, communities, families and individuals seek to deal with the tragedy of loss of life of loved ones; economic challenges;   social devastation and mass unrest because of this unexpected  pandemic.  In uncertain times like these, we must begin to earnestly seek God through prayer and pursue His presence so that we will not be overwhelmed by what is going on around us.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched
with the feeling of our infirmities;  (Hebrews 4:15)

No matter what we are faced with; no matter how devastating or disappointing the news, always know that there is nothing that you can confront in this life, from which God cannot deliver you.  The power to overcome every adversity, no matter how great or small is found in prayer.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.  (John 3:16)

In John 3:16, we are encouraged that God loves us so much it is not His desire to see any of us perish or be destroyed.  Rather, it is the desire of the Father that we experience and possess an abundant life which starts as soon as you experience and accept His love; a forever lasting love that leads you to experience a forever lasting life of joy and peace with Him; even in the midst of adversity!

PRAYER:  Father, I pray that you would take up a burden upon to pray when you are faced with challenging times.  I come against every spirit of stress, frustration, worry or care or anything that would act as a distraction to you seeking God for the help and comfort you need, especially in the midst of your adversity.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION:   In the name of Jesus, I decree and declare that you will use prayer as a powerful weapon against your enemy and overcome every adversity that you are faced with as you consistently turn to the altars of prayer.

GOOD NEWS IN THE MIDST OF CHALLENGING TIMES

The Celebration and Commemoration of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is truly one of the most sacred and joyous times in the Christian Calendar.  Every year, believers from all around the world take these precious days to remember when Jesus died to take away the sins of the world.  Known as Good Friday, we remember the road to Golgotha’s Hill, the thirty-nine (39) stripes that He bore and every drop of blood that He shed so that you and I can have a right to live an abundant life. (John 10:10)

We reflect on the time after His death, where He reveals that while in the grave, He took the keys, or the power, of death, hell and the grave and destroyed their works in our lives so that we could live and not die; prosper and not perish; He died so that you could be free of every wicked device and attack of the enemy and overcome any evil that may come our way.

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold,
I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys
of  hell and of death.  (Revelation 1:18)

On the third day, which we celebrate as Easter Sunday, Jesus rose from the grave with all power in His hand. The good news is that Jesus’ resurrection reflects the strength and power of the Christian Church which He makes available to everyone who accepts Him.  It is His desire that this powerful message be spread to every nation of the earth.  Jesus is alive and all power in heaven and earth has been given to Him.  It is this same resurrection power that He desires to give you, today.  He died so that you could live victoriously.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
(Matthew 28:18, 19)

In a time where the world is faced with the recent Coronavirus Outbreak and there remains much uncertainty as to what the future holds; we as believers in Jesus Christ know, that no matter the circumstances that all things will work together for our good. (Romans 8:28)  In Romans 8, the Apostle Paul writes a letter to the believers in Rome admonishing them to be encouraged because nothing in this world, whether present or to come, can ever separate them from the love of our God which was demonstrated through Christ.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 8:35, 38-39)

It is this message that I share with you today.  No matter where you are or what is going on around you, the love and power of God is available to all who believe.  God wants you to know that He loves you and there is nothing that will ever change that.  He loves you with an everlasting love and gave  His life just to prove how much He loves you.  Receive His love today and rest assured that your life will never be the same.

PRAYER:  In Jesus name, I pray that you would receive the courage and strength to receive the love of God in your life today.  I pray that as you receive that word today that you would also receive Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior.  If you are already a believer, I pray that you would continue to embrace His love for you today and celebrate Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross and the power of His resurrection.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION:  I decree and declare that you shall live and not die; that you shall accept the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and make a commitment to live your best life ever!

PRAYER A POWERFUL WEAPON AGAINST COVID-19

PRAYER: The Greatest Weapon Against COVID-19

In recent years, global disasters such as the bubonic plague, the swine flu, the ebola virus, HIV AIDS and other such plagues have affected people all around the world creating a pandemic which shook the core of many nations.

Luke 21:25, 26
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Men’s heart failing them for fear; and looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

In Luke 21:26, the Bible shares about strange occurrences and unusual phenomena coming to the earth, causing destabilizations in the earth and creating a panic that grips the hearts of individuals; causing people to give up; to become lost and confused; people’s faith in God to be shaken and the like.

The recent outbreak of the Coronavirus seeks to infiltrate the earth with a reign of terror, sickness and disease, causing worldwide panic as it wreaks havoc in the nations. This recent outbreak is an example of the release of a demonic plague from the realm of darkness which is not only afflicting people with diseases but is also causing an unprecedented number of deaths, worldwide.

Many nations have taken drastic measures to stop the spread of this virus which is consuming the lives of people every day. As each nation rushes to protect its citizens and poises itself to confront this relentless, devouring plague, many have implemented social restrictions, national mandates, medical interventions and unprecedented laws in an effort to curtail the number of growing casualties. In addition to these measures, some governments have realized that they are fighting an invisible enemy and, as a result, have turned to one of the most powerful weapon given to those who believe, which is Prayer!

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

As you engage the spiritual weapon of prayer, you invite Heaven to engage in the warfare on your behalf. Your effectual fervent prayer empowers you to fight the enemy that you cannot see or cannot engage using natural means.

In Luke 10:19, Jesus says to His disciples,”Behold, I give you power, over all the powers of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you!” Your time in prayer helps you access this power to defeat every enemy in your life, in the power of Jesus’ mighty name!
PRAYER: Father, in the name of Jesus, the Christ, I prayer a prayer of divine protection over every person struggling with a spirit of fear. In Psalm 91, you said that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High God shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I pray that you destroy the spirit of fear in every believers’ life and break them through every diabolical attack of the enemy, empowering them to walk in victory no matter what circumstances with which they are faced.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION:
I decree and declare that in the mighty name of Jesus, that the Spirit of God would empower you to engage the weapon of prayer and defeat every demonic enemy that seeks to overtake your life.
