The spirit of a thing carries the nature and characteristic of that thing.   Witchcraft is a demonic practice which conjures up devastating attacks to the mind and soul of an individual in an effort to cause harm, injury or pain.

This wicked practice targets the minds of people, can originate from several different sources and can manifest in several different ways.   Some of these ways were generated by the home environment you grew up in or the social environment in which you are connected      known as Household Witchcraft.

Household witchcraft is very subtle because this represents commonly held tendencies, attitudes or beliefs that you were either taught or grew up experiencing but are now working against you; bringing destructive curses upon your life.  These subtle workings are all a part of the enemy’s wicked devices which seek to sabotage your destiny and leave you void of experiencing all that God has for you.  (John 10:10)

For some men, you may have grown up seeing your father smoking, drinking or having a lot of women and at the time he says to you that these are the things you should be doing to prove you are a man.  For some women, they may have grown up seeing their aunts have children out of wedlock and believed that this is how you are supposed to live your life.  On the other hand, some women may have witnessed their father abusing their mother and believe that this is the way a man shows love to a woman, by abusing her.

Household witchcraft can be very subtle.  These practices are so familiar to you that you have unknowingly embraced them as your personality, a part of who you are or a part of what you do.  How many times have someone tried to bring something to your attention and your response, generally is, “Well, that’s just the way I am.” Or “I’m just being myself.” Or, “Well, growing up, this is what we did.”

It has to do with certain beliefs held by family members, friends, coworkers or those believed by a group called your “inner circle” which seek to manipulate your mind and fight against or resist the will, plan and purpose of God in your life.

Anything that fights against the will of God for your life is of the devil.  In 3 John 1:2, the Word of God reveals that above everything else in life, it is the will of the Father that you prosper because your soul is prospering.  The prosperity of your soul speaks to a peace, love, joy and soundness of mind, knowing that everything you are doing is in divine alignment with the will of God for your life. Jesus wants to set you free from household witchcraft so that you can experience your best life ever! (1 John 3:8)

Practicing any level of witchcraft is sin and will bring separation or death between you and God.  Witchcraft seeks to manipulate your mind and targets your intentions, your will, your intellect and your emotions.  In other words, the intention is to take over, manipulate or control you by taking possession of your soul.

Some people create their own witchcraft covenants with the realm of darkness by saying what they will never do.   Saying words such as, “I will never trust you again.” Or “I will never forgive you for what you have done!” Or “I hate you and I always will.”   When we speak such condemning words with resolute passion we are actually cursing a situation or a marital relationship and opening demonic doors.   

As the law of attraction is an established law in the realm of the spirit, witchcraft attracts witchcraft. Therefore, there are many other ways you can attract a spirit of witchcraft to your life.  Some of which include:

• When you harbor un-forgiveness, bitterness or resentment, you can unknowingly attract spirits of witchcraft to your life. When this happens, your soul becomes influenced or dominated by the kingdom of darkness to carry out its ill wishes and demonic assignments.

• When you become rebellious against God, you become angry, hateful, full of malice, envy, jealousy,  hatred and rage that you want harm someone; in so doing, you can also open the door to the spirit of witchcraft.

• When you seek out or consult with someone to bring harm to another person both of you have made a contract with the kingdom of darkness.

²³ For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness
is as iniquity and idolatry. (1 Samuel 15:23)

Witchcraft in any form is a sin and the Word of God reveals that the soul that sins shall die.  (Ezekiel 18:20) This death here represents a spiritual death; a dying to the true life that God has for you; a death to joy, peace and love replaced with a life of misery, fear and torment.  This is why the practice of witchcraft is an abomination to God.  Revelation 21:8 speaks of the final judgment to those who practice witchcraft if they do not repent.

If this sin is present in your generation or even in your generational lineage, repent of it right now and the sins  of your ancestors.   In 1 John 1:9, we are assured that if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us of every sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness; once we are cleansed this gives us the peace love and joy to live an abundant, victorious life free from the traps of the enemy.  (John 10:10)

² But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. (2 Corinthians 4:2)

 The word occult means hidden, covered, concealed or secret.  The secrets of the occults are known to those who are the leaders or organizers of the occult.

This simply means that they know exactly why they formed it.   Unfortunately, most people who end up in the occult just go along with its practices and beliefs but do not know the truth behind its foundations.

The practice of witchcraft can also be categorized as occult involvement.   Many people use witchcraft, psychical, metaphysical, and occult powers, whether directly or indirectly, for the purpose to control, dominate intimidate or influence the life of someone else, to their detriment.

 Witchcraft is outright rebellion against God and His word.  It uses evil powers from the kingdom of darkness to carry out its intentions.  Spells, curses, evil incantations, hexcrafts, jinxcrafts, soothsaying, fortune-telling, palm reading, tea leaf reading and the like are all forms of witchcraft.

 Deuteronomy 18:10-12
¹⁰ There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.  ¹¹ Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.  ¹² For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

 According to Deuteronomy 18:10-12 and Revelation 21:8, witchcraft or occult practices are an abomination to God and all who engage in such practices will be judged by Him.  Many people do not realize that consulting with witches, psychics, palm readers and the like, causes a demonic curse to come to their lives.   Not only are the witches cursed, but those who seek their counsel are also cursed.

This curse is carried out by a demonic spirit assigned to the individual’s life as soon as they depart from the presence of the witch.  They may have left the home or dwelling place of the witch but they have now attracted a demonic spirit which is assigned to wreak havoc in their lives. It is not God’s will that we seek from the demonic realm of darkness what He is willing to release to us from His Heavenly, Divine Kingdom.   Serving the devil and his kingdom will bring curses on your life.  Serving God and His Heavenly Kingdom will bring blessings and prosperity to you.  (John 10:10)

 If you have practiced witchcraft or have consulted with someone who practices witchcraft, pray and ask God to forgive you and to have mercy on you.  In His word He reveals that it is not His will that any should perish but that all should repent, turn from these wicked practices and come into the saving knowledge of Jesus, the Christ.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Father, in the name of Jesus, the Christ I repent for every wrong thing that I have done.  I ask that you forgive me and cleanse me from every sin of witchcraft.   I renounce any ties to the occult or to any such wicked practices and ask that you would set me free, in Jesus name!  I decree and declare that from this day forward that Jesus, you are Lord and Savior of my life!

The only goal of a curse in your life is to cause you hardship, pain, misfortune, gross disappointment and even death.  A curse is either rendered over your life and enters or you may have knowingly or unknowingly attracted a curse to your life by your actions, words or deeds or they simply came through your generational lineage when you were born.

What many people do not know is that the enemy has demonic monitoring spirits that watch your life.  These spirits gather information concerning you and seek occasion to enter your life.  Every curse has a demonic spirit attached to it.  The assignment of these spirits is to ensure that the curse is enacted in your life and leads to your ultimate demise.

1 Peter 5:8 

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

In 1 Peter 5:8, the word of God exposes the fact that the enemy goes about in the earth seeking how he can destroy the people of God.  He seeks opportunity to enter your life and assign his demonic spirits to torment you; either with unexplainable sickness, demonic cycles of financial hardships, separation in your relationships, spirits of fear, anxiety, terror and more. No  matter how the curse has come, Jesus came to destroy its ultimate purpose in your life.

Jesus came to the earth to fulfill one assignment and that was to set mankind free from a ruthless enemy, the devil, and redeem him back to God.   When Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice and shed every drop of blood in His body, the plan of salvation and deliverance was activated for all who acknowledged, believed and confessed Jesus as their Savior and Deliverer.  His sacrifice on the Cross and ultimate resurrection, gave Him the control of all power in heaven and earth.  (Matthew 28:18)

After His sacrifice on the Cross, Jesus He went to hell and took the keys or, better, the power of death, hell and the grave so that He had all power in the earth realm to command every devil out of your life, to destroy the demonic curse that they were activating to keep you in bondage and to shut the gates of hell working against your life in order to set you free.  (Revelation 1:18)  You are totally delivered and set free by the power of the blood of Jesus; and whom the Son sets free, is free indeed!  (John 8:36)

There are many reasons that curses exist in people’s lives.   Many times, the practices, activities or behaviors in which we engage can bring demonic cures.  In other regards, a curse can be projected by witches, wicked people who are hateful or jealous towards you and even the devil, himself.  Regardless of how curses come, it is not the will of God that you live under any curse.  Curses are spiritually illegal. Jesus sacrifice on the Cross and the shedding of His blood gives you legal right to be free from every curse of the enemy.

The enemy has no right to enact any curse over your life.  The only power he has is what you give him; either by agreeing with his demonic lies or by simply not doing anything to counter his attack.  Whether you choose to resist him or not, the enemy will continue to fight you, as a believer, with diabolical tactics designed to bring hardship, distress, trauma or tragedy.  These destructive curses are weapons that he forms against your life in an effort to cause your ultimate demise.   (John 10:10)

In Isaiah 54:17, the Word of God reveals that although the weapons of the enemy may form, they will not prosper and every tongue that rises against you, you have power to condemn.  Jesus said that the power of life and death is in your tongue.  (Proverbs 18:21)  You have the power to reverse the curse of every ill wish or wicked decree uttered against your life by making prophetic declarations of your own.

If you are sick, declare that you are healed (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24); if you are last decree and declare that the last shall be first (Matthew 20:16); if you are poor or weak declare that you are rich and strong (Joel 3:10), in Jesus mighty name!   Wherever, there is a curse in your life, with spiritual authority and boldness, curse the curse by declaring the word of God against it. The spirit of God inside of you, gives you the unction and the power to speak those things that be not as though they were already. (Romans 4:17) You have the God-given right and ability to rebuke, stop, cancel, prophetically reverse or curse every curse…the power is in your mouth!

How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?  (Numbers 11:8)

A curse causeless cannot come! (Psalm 26:2) 

A curse is the opposite of a blessing (good fortune, success or well-being.)  It is a prayer or an appeal for evil against your life, family, business or ministry.  Just as God uses prophets to speak words of blessings, the enemy can also use evil or wicked people, “false prophets”, witches or other ungodly men operating in spirits of hatred, jealousy, envy and greed to speak demonic curses over your life.  Every spoken word  with direct force carries a degree of power, be it negative or positive; someone’s words can either cause you pain or bring you joy. (Proverbs 18:21)

A curse may enter your life through your generational bloodline or by way of witches or wicked, evil people who wish to see your life destroyed.  A curse may even enter your life because of your own involvement in occult practices, engaging in willful sin or by the enemy, himself, working against your life.

However, the curse comes, the ultimate intent is your destruction.  Therefore a curse, acts like a weapon in your life. In Isaiah 54:17, under God’s divine providence, He promises that no weapon formed against you shall be able to prosper.  This means that you may be able to identify a curse at work in your life, your family or business but that curse will not be able to fulfill the ultimate purpose for which it has come.  Just as a lawyer fights and defends on your behalf, so does the legal blood of Jesus fight for you, against every curse that seeks to operate in your life.

7 And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?  (Numbers 11:7, 8)

In Numbers 11:7, 8, we see the Prophet Balam is approached by King Balak asking him to curse the Children of Israel.  Even the Prophet who has the spiritual authority to declare the Word and Counsel of the Lord cannot render a curse upon the life of the people of God, once God has pronounced a command to bless them.  The more the Prophet attempted to curse them the more he spoke a blessing over them.  Why?  Because God had already blessed them.

As you look in your life, you may be able to identify demonic cycles, sudden dilemmas or unexplainable hardships or difficulties. As a believer, these ungodly curses do not have legal spiritual right to operate in your life.  Once you identify a curse at work in your life, you can begin to break it by taking spiritual authority and engaging in radical, fervent prayer against it.  God has already blessed you so no curse can destroy you and there is nothing that your enemies can do about it!

Everyday people wake up to the harsh reality that something is not right in their life. Their demonic patterns of repeated failure cannot be explained and trying to figure it out only leads to more frustration.

Unfortunately, many are unaware of what is fighting them and understanding how to gain victory over it is even more perplexing.

One thing they do know for sure, and that is with out a doubt, is that something happened to them during the course of their life, but what, they do not know.

During a healing and deliverance service several years ago, my husband and I were delivering people for almost three (3) days straight with little to know sleep. After nights of casting out thousands and thousands of demons, the Spirit of God simply told us to tell the people that their battle was coming from the kingdom of darkness and that demonic spirits had been sent to hinder them. This type of warfare is what I now call, Second Heaven Warfare.

You see, most people think that their fight is coming from another human being, but what they fail to see is the evil demonic force behind the human that is instigating the entire spiritual battle.

Some people spend most of their lives fighting another person instead of recognizing the real culprit at work.

Satan has done a good job in masking his kingdom to trick, especially Christians, into fighting each other more than recognizing who the real enemy is.

To better understand this let me explain the spiritual dynamics of heavenly realms.

I believe that there are many dimensions in the spirit realm. However, today I would like to reveal to you what I understand about the 3 basic dimensions in the heavenly invisible realm and show you how they affect your everyday life.

The first dimension is the atmospheric realm which is where we live and may consist of the atmosphere around the earth including the clouds etc. God gave man dominion in this realm. The second dimension is what we call the Starry Heaven and that consists of the constellation of stars, planets, etc. It is believed that this is the domain where Satan has set his seat of ruler shop as he was kicked out of Heaven by Michael and His Angels in Revelation 12.

The third Heaven is The Heaven of Heavens and is where the Kingdom of Almighty God is. It is where He dwells and it is where His Throne exists. It cannot be accessed by human flesh and it is the total dominion and Sanctuary of Almighty God.

Satan, from the seat of his domain has set his principalities over regions and territories to control them. He emits his wicked powers from the second heaven seeking to manipulate the prayers and livelihood of God’s people. This is similar to Daniel chapter 10 as we see the prince Of Persia blocked and tried to stop the angel of God from delivering the answer to Daniel for almost twenty-one days.

These demonic princes of darkness are fierce in nature and will stop at nothing to fight you as a Christian from gaining the ultimate victory that God has set in place for your life.

There diabolical goal is to block, stop and frustrate you right out of the Divine will and purpose of God if you allow them.

Your success and ultimate victory in this battle will only be won through persistent and consistent prayer before the Lord. God will send His angel, Michael to defeat every demonic principality, no matter how they try to sabotage your divine destiny.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

There is a relentless, unseen war that takes place in the realm of the spirit between the kingdom of darkness ruled by satan and the kingdom of light which is ruled by God.

In Ephesians 2:2, satan is known as the prince of the power the air. It is said that he governs the second heaven, from where he commands a host of demons. His demonic confederation is structured and operates under a strict governing hierarchy of principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. It is from this realm, that believers encounter demonic attacks. Satan has demonic spirits assigned to attack, resist, hinder, oppress or destroy individuals, families, communities and even entire regions.

In Ephesians 6:12, we are reminded that our warfare is not with flesh and blood; it is not with people that we can see, but it is with demonic ruling spirits who are under the command of the devil. He can use people at times to come against you, but ultimately the attack originates from his wicked kingdom of darkness. In John 10:10, we are warned that the enemy only comes to steal, kill or destroy; but Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. In order to overcome the spiritual warfare from the second dimension, I admonish every believer to engage the spiritual weapon of prayer.
(2 Corinthians 10:4, 5)The warfare is spiritual and so are our weapons. Your power and victory was won by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. He died so that you can be victorious over every attack of the enemy. Praying in the name of Jesus and applying the blood of Jesus are spiritual strategies that will empower you to overcome every spiritual adversity in your life.

During ancient times, the walls and gates of any city were erected to protect it from enemies and other unwanted invaders. These walls established boundaries, domains, territories, sovereignty, etc. Within the walls, the citizens, thereof were protected, fed, clothed, educated and cared for by their ruling monarch or leader. The city of Jerusalem was a place that God had set aside for His presence to manifest in the lives of His people. It was the place where the presence of God could not be found.

However, in Nehemiah 1:3-4, while serving as a cupbearer to the king, Nehemiah became burdened about the state of current disrepair of the walls and the gates of his beloved Jerusalem. Not only were the walls which once protected the city were broken down and the gates, which were the entry points of access were totally destroyed, but the city had become void of the presence of God and no-one sought their repair.

It is time for the people of God to wake and realize that we are in the last days. Every believer must evaluate his own life and begin to identify areas where spiritual walls and gates may have been broken down which have left you vulnerable to the influences of this world and the attacks of the enemy.

In Psalm 91, the Word of God reveals that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High God shall abide under the shadow (the watchful care and protection) of the Almighty. We must perpetually seek to “build back the walls” through prayer and cultivating an intimate relationship with God, in so doing, you will erect spiritual walls of protection over your life, family, community, region and nation.

PRAYER: In the name of Jesus, I pray that you will continue to use your life to “build a place” where the Spirit of God can dwell. I come against every plan of the enemy that seeks to distract you from pursing your love for God and the things of God.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I decree and declare that every broken area in your life will be built back through prayer, repentance, humility and true holiness, in the mighty name of Jesus!
